The radio system in the tunnel provides communication for:

  • 4 frequencies in the VHP spectrum (two-way communication) – spectrum 167.56-169.38MHZ / 172.16-26398MHz,
  • 2 PM stations (one-way communication) – spectrum 88 – 108MHz,
  • GSM (900MHz).

Frequencies from VHF spectrum are intended for emergency assistance, firefighters, police and motorway maintenance service.

The central RF station is located in COKP and is the most important element of the radio system, because it establishes connections between radio stations within the tunnel and their communication with external radio networks.
