Motorway driving is safer, faster and more comfortable than driving on other roads, but for some special features it differs from driving on other roads. Regulations have been established to drive, but there are some rules, behaviors, and safety habits that must be adopted to safely drive the motorway.

  • The motorway is a public road specially built and intended exclusively for the traffic of motor vehicles, which is marked as a highway by a prescribed traffic sign. It has two physically separate traffic lanes for traffic from the opposite directions, with at least two traffic lanes and a band for the forcible stop of the vehicle, without crossing with transversal roads and rail or tram lines at the same level and whose traffic can be switched on or off only by certain And specially constructed connecting public roads on the appropriate highway track of the motorway.
  • The pedestrians, armored vehicles, bicycles and animals, auxiliary pedestrians, as well as any vehicles that cannot develop a speed of movement exceeding 40 km / h must not be moved by motorway.
  • On the motorway, the driver must not move the vehicle at a speed greater than 130 km / h, or at a speed determined by a traffic sign.
  • On the highway, the driver must not stop or park the vehicle. If it wants to interrupt the ride, it can only be done at resorts, gas station spaces or areas outside of the carriageway, which are specifically arranged and marked as resorts or parking lots.
  • A driver who, due to malfunction, in-vehicle malfunction or for some other reason, is obliged to stop the vehicle on the pavement of the highway, must stop it on a special emergency stop bar – as far as possible to the right, so that the opening doors do not interfere with the vehicles driving On the right bar.
  • On the highway, the driver must not rotate the vehicle round-the-clock or move the vehicle backwards.
  • A motor vehicle that is towing a second vehicle must not be included on the motorway, and it is not possible to move just because of the defects or defects of certain parts. Exceptionally, the towing vehicle is permitted by motorway if the reason for the towing is caused during the movement of the vehicle on the highway, but only by the end of the right traffic lane to the first connecting road whereby the towing vehicle can be excluded from traffic on the motorway.
  • By motorway, vehicles must move to the far right traffic bar, unless it is clogged with vehicles in the column. The left strap serves exclusively for overtaking.
  • On the highway, the driver must not cross the vehicle from the tape in the treadmill (slalom ride), overtake him with a tape, move in such a way that he does not hold the required space, hurry vehicles in front of him by giving light and sound signs or otherwise, nor performing any other action Which endangers or endangers other traffic participants.
  • The driver involved in the highway traffic is obliged to use it with a special accelerator tape, with a preliminary check that this can do without danger to other traffic participants, taking into account the position of the vehicle and the direction and speed of the movement.
  • The driver who is excluded from the traffic on the highway is obliged to take his position in the right-hand traffic lane in a timely manner and as soon as possible to switch to a special slow-motion bar.
