Vlada FBiH je, na prijedlog Federalnog ministarstva prometa i komunikacija, donijela Odluku o razvrstavanju javne ceste u kategoriju autocesta A1. Razvrstane su dionice Zenica Jug – Lašva – Kakanj – Visoko dužine 81,9 kilometara i Zvirovići – Bijača u dužini od 10 kilometara.

Razvrstavanje ovih dionica u javnu cestu kategorije autocesta sa oznakom Al je obavljeno u skladu sa investicijsko-tehničkom dokumentacijom, upotrebnim dozvolama i odgovarajućim tehničkim propisima prema kojima su one izgrađene.

Za realizaciju ove odluke zaduženo je JP Autoceste FBiH d.o.o. Mostar, a njenim stupanjem na snagu prestaje da važi Odluka o razvrstavanju javne ceste M-5 na dionici Sarajevo (Jošanica) – Podlugovi – Visoko.
